Divorce or dissolution of a civil partnership
In the event of a divorce or dissolution of a civil partnership please remember to notify the Pensions Department of your change of status.
You will need to think about how your pension rights will be treated in any divorce or dissolution settlement, although they may or may not ultimately be divided. If your solicitor instructs you to request a Cash Equivalent Transfer Value (CETV) please ensure that it is needed at the current time. The first CETV will be free of charge but any subsequent CETVs may be charged for.
The Trustees must comply with any order made by a Court following a divorce or dissolution of a civil partnership.
