Trustees of the Scheme
The Group Pension Scheme is set up as a trust, which means that it is legally and financially separate from the Press. The Scheme is run by Trustees, with the assistance of independent professional advisors. The payment of benefits and the management of the Scheme is overseen by the Trustees who are responsible for ensuring that the Scheme is run in accordance with the Trust Deed and Rules. The Board of Trustees consists of an independent chairman appointed by the Delegates of the Press, three Trustees appointed by the Press, and three Trustees elected by the members (Member-Nominated Trustees).
